Bathroom mirrors are an oft overlooked element of design. With all the different designs available today, bathroom mirrors can, and should, completely alter the look and feel of the room. However, no matter what their shape - oval, square, rectangular, or any other geometric pattern - bathroom mirrors first and foremost serve one important function: light reflection. The bathroom mirror in your home should highlight the artificial light of the room and/or the natural light coming through your bathroom window.

For the best results, the style of your vanity, mirror, and lighting should all match one another for a uniformed look and feel. Framed, rectangular, and oval mirrors match best with traditional styles, while more contemporary designs call for unframed, circular designs. Some of the more modern styles come in clean-looking stainless steel frames. The mirror itself should also match the vanity size. For double sink bowls, a wall-sized mirror or matching his-and-her oval mirrors are the perfect remedy.

The Modern Mirror
For those of you tired of wiping down your bathroom mirror with a hand towel after a long steamy shower or bath, fog less mirror technology might hold the answer for you. These smaller, round mirrors often attach easily to any wall in the bathroom, including the shower wall, for convenient shaving and grooming. Some come with retractable and telescopic arms that jut out from the wall for easy use, as well as razor holders. The magnification, break-and-scratch resistant features, and portability of these handy bathroom mirrors make them an attractive product.
